The plane begins a steep climb soon after take off from Washington Airport on its way to the 2015 Paris Airshow which is due to start next week. WebBeing able to take off steeply is a combination of efficient wing design and the engines providing a large amount of thrust for their size/weight. Basically good engineering. Edit: I hope this is the answer you wanted, rather than benchmarks about how steep other planes can climb, etc. cuz I don't really know that stuff.
