Twist-on wire connections shall not be used for this purpose." What I think this means that wire nuts cannot be used in motor 'peckerheads'. WebAug 2, 2024 · The two official terms are motor termination enclosure and peckerhead. It’s not slang. See NEMA MG-1.. Lots of people remove the ridiculously small cast peckerheads and substitute either a larger one or a standard enclosure or order longer wiring and run LFMC to an enclosure mounted nearby. So there isn’t a peckerhead at all. Easy Registered

If so be careful and don't go farm tight or you will break the block.
