I was at my local speed shop asking about a short block, he said he has new in the box 5.0 short blocks from ford. They are roller non h.o. engines. He said he still has 25 of them left, hes asking $1895.00. I dont think i could rebuild my short block for much less. (Image/Jim Smart) The 1969 302 truck head sports 64cc chambers, which makes them conservative compression wise. We’ve had CNC port and bowl work performed on these castings, which will improve flow.
